Proverbs 16:18 KJV

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

The only thing worse than living in sin is being proud of it. Pride is the very nature of satan himself. It is appalling that many Christian’s today, in the name of love, have embraced the sins the world celebrates. There is simply no excuse for a bible believing Christian to embrace the work of the devil that destroys people’s lives. God has instructed us not to do and partake of certain things (sin), not because he hates us, but because he loves us. God knows that sin brings nothing but destruction in our lives (James 1:14-15).

What we are seeing in our country should be of no surprise to us. One sign of the last days is that pride will increase (2 Timothy 3:2). The very things that used to be done in shame, are now celebrated with pride. 

Proverbs 16:5 says, “Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.” This is simply saying that it does not matter if the proud join together, God is not pleased, and destruction is on the way. 

Christians, this is our time to shine! Ephesians 5:8 says, “… ye are the light of the Lord: walk as children of light.” Do not be moved by the increase of darkness. Do not be moved by those who reject Jesus and the gospel. It is time for us to embrace the truth more than ever before! As the world gets darker, our light shines brighter. 

Many are lost, sick, and bound and they need the Jesus that saved you and me. Don’t allow what you see cause you to become frustrated and rob you of your witness. We have been prepared for such a time as this! People need Jesus!
