The Open Door

Revelation 3:8

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

We have been prepared for such a time as this! While the world waxes worse and worse, the church should shine brighter and brighter! We are seeing the bible play out before our very eyes. Many are confused and wondering what to do. Many do not know which way to turn. Many are in great fear.

I am excited! I know that may shock many, but God is on our side! We know the end of the story! I would encourage you to stop listening to the news and even many Christians who are peddling nothing but fear. Psalms 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” While praying one morning, the Lord told me he had a message to share with his people. He told me to continually remind them of this message. He said, “Tell my people to not be concerned with increasing darkness, because they possess the light.” We have no reason to fear!

Also, as we see in our text above, we have an open door!  The open door is our opportunity to share Jesus with the lost and dying of this world. I have observed three groups of people for years now. The first group are those Christians that are consumed with politics and believe that through fussing and fighting we are going to change things. The second group are those that oppose this group. They include apathetic Christians and even the unsaved. The third group are those who are lost, broken, hurting, empty, and in fear. They are looking for an answer! They need Jesus!

Yes, times are getting darker in this world, but we have a mission to accomplish. Let’s get serious with Jesus and share him with those that are looking for the answer to the hopelessness of this world! This is our open door! Jesus is the answer!
