Prepared For Promotion

Mark 6:39-40 KJV

And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.

God is a God of increase! Every believer has the Spirit of the living God inside of them. This is the same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead. You and I do not have a spirit of defeat, but a spirit of victory over every work of the devil. You were created to rise and succeed, not decrease and fail (Joshua 1:7-8, Psalms 1:1-3, 3 John 2)!

We know that we accomplish God’s will and overcome all opposition by faith (1 John 5:4). Once we see the promise in God’s word, it’s time to step out in faith. I have found that every time I step out in faith on the promises of God, God begins to deal with my heart. I’m sure he does the same with you. Recently while studying and praying he revealed to me exactly what was going on when this happens.

In Mark chapter 6 we see the miracle of the five thousand fed. They had been following Jesus and listening to his teachings. It had come to the end of the day and they were hungry. We know that Jesus took five loaves and two fishes, multiplied it, and fed the hungry. I want us to see what he did first. In Mark 5:39-40 Jesus had the disciples to get the people in order. You must see this! Jesus was preparing them to receive the miracle provision he was about to supply!

You may ask, “What has that got to do with me?” If you are walking by faith, it has everything to do with you! As I said earlier, every time you set your faith, God goes to working in your heart. The reason for this is he is preparing you to receive what he’s promised you and what you’ve set your faith for! This is why preparation time is so important!

What is God dealing with you about today? I would encourage you to make the change that is in your heart. Why? God is simply endeavoring to enlarge your capacity to receive his best! He’s endeavoring to get you prepared and organized to receive what he’s promised!
