Galatians 6:7 KJV
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
You may have started reading this just because of the title. Many people are always looking for something spiritual or someone to tell them what is to come in their lives. Many spend their present in great fear and worry about the future. The big question is, “What is to come?”
While I believe in the Holy Spirit and even the Gift of Prophecy, you don’t always need a gift in operation to tell you what’s to come. If the Bible is true, and it is, all you need to do is look at your actions. You reap what you sow! The Bible tells us to not be deceived and think otherwise. The New Living Translation of Galatians 6:7 says, “You will always harvest what you plant.” What you are reaping today (present) will always be the result of what you sowed yesterday (past). What will come to pass in your life tomorrow (future) will be the result of what you sow today (present).
People’s homes are a great example of this. If you sow the Word of God in an environment of love in your home, your children will grow up with a strong faith in God and foundation in his word. They will not be unstable and insecure. If you, by example, put God first when you are raising them, you will see this fruit produced in their lives in the future. On the contrary, if you pursue worldliness and put education, sports, and fitting in as your top priority, they will not put God first when they become adults. Children are actually called fruit in Psalms 127:3. When they come of age, you will begin to see the fruit of the seeds that were sown in the home they were raised in.
You will always reap what you sow and you do not need a fortune teller in this world or even a prophet in the church to tell you that. If you are unhappy with the results you are getting in your life today, change the seeds that you are sowing. Don’t grumble, gripe, and complain about the harvest, for this will do no good! Change what you are planting and you will change what you are reaping!
