Don’t Surrender!

Mark 11:23

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

While I cannot possibly tell you what you are facing and/or believing for today, I can tell you that all things are possible with God (Mark 10:27)! There is no mountain or problem greater than God’s ability to see us through and put us over! God has promised to answer our every prayer as we put our faith and trust in Him!

Many who read this may immediately say, “I have prayed many prayers that God has not answered.” I hear this regularly as a Pastor. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but if God promises to answer our prayers and then doesn’t, he has lied to us. We know that God doesn’t lie, so we need to check on our end.

The prayer that God has promised to answer is the prayer of faith! You see in the word what God has promised you, you set your faith and speak the word only, and then what happens? The mountain shows up! Maybe you set your faith for finances, then more bills come in than normal. Maybe you set your faith for healing, then more symptoms show up than you had before you prayed. The list goes on and on. What you do at this point will determine if your prayer is answered or not. Mark 11:23 says, “… and shall not doubt in his heart.” When you set your faith in God and the mountain shows up, if you are not careful you will begin to doubt. Doubt means “to separate thoroughly, hesitate, or withdraw from.” The enemy wants you to surrender your faith in God and withdraw from all that he’s promised you!

You must know that the purpose of the mountain is to produce doubt in your heart about God’s ability to bring his word to pass in your life! If the enemy can get you in doubt, you will lack and do without!

I encourage you today to keep your heart and focus on what God has promised you. Do not be moved by the mountain, keep your eyes on the mountain mover!
