Don’t Quit Now!

Galatians 6:9 KJV

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

One day while praying the Lord spoke to me and said, “There are two things you can be sure of; 1) I always do just as I’ve promised, and 2) It’s always going to look like I’m not going to do just as I’ve promised.” We must learn, that if we will only trust God, he will never fail us.

What has God promised us? The Bible is our book of promises. The Bible is God’s will. The seed is the Word of God (Luke 8:11). We sow the seed by praying and/or saying what God has promised us in His word (Mark 11:23-24). The seed is guaranteed to produce a harvest after it’s own kind (Galatians 6:7-8). In knowing this, we are set, right? It doesn’t just end with sowing the seed! Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, IF WE FAINT NOT.” You cannot sow the seed, get frustrated and give up on the seed, and then expect a harvest!

We must understand that as soon as we sow the seed of God’s word, the devil will show up! The Bible tells us when the seed is sown, he shows up immediately (Mark 4:15). Remember, he’s the god of this world, so he has control over some things here in the earth (2 Corinthians 4:4). As soon as you sow the seed, he will begin to try and discourage and frustrate you. He will primarily operate through situations and circumstances in this world that will produce thoughts of defeat and failure. Think about it. How often have you set your faith and then the bottom seems to drop out? Do you really believe that’s a coincidence? Of course it isn’t. It’s satan’s strategy. Your job is to hold fast to the promises of God, don’t be moved by anything he does, and thank God daily that his word is true!

Remember, the harvest is sure as long as you don’t give up on the seed you’ve planted! God honors his word!
